McHugh Motorsport

We had our first shakedown on Saturday night at Toowoomba. The car looked great on the track and our lap times were really pleasing. We certainly drew attention with plenty of positive feedback. We spent the off-season giving the car a good going over. Ed from Sport Engines put the motor through its paces on his Dyno and seems to have found a bit more for us.

Whilst we are using this season as a learning curve for both Driver and Crew, we are fortunate enough to have Glenn Seton putting in a tremendous effort with the shocks and set up and we believe we are starting the season with a solid package. Obviously we also painted in our new team colours which we hope you all like. We are planning on heading to Carina Speedway Bundaberg for a 2 night show on Fri the 11th and Sat 12th Sept. Thank you all for your support!

Geoffrey McHugh Motorsport 1The McHugh family has a long involvement in Motorsport beginning with Geoff McHugh's racing in the J2 Allard and Mildren Maserati from the  1960's to now, in it's third generation the tradition continues!!  Between Jamie and Lachlan someone in the family is usually racing or practising most weeks of the year. Check out the profile below, follow the racing season or have a look at the photo gallery. Whether it's Smash Repairs, Speedway or Karting we are always trying to finish ahead of the pack.

If you would like to check out the racing scene a little more closely let us know and our promotions manager (Emilio - 0419 121 485) can arrange for you to meet up with one of the race teams when we are next racing in South East Qld. These track visits are popular and give a real insight into the technical, strategic and unusual aspects of motorsport.
